Tammie Ryan has nearly 20 years experience in Science Fun. Graduating with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Portland State University, she took the informal education route and started teaching for a National Science Museum. This opportunity lead her to years of travel and science fun.
After 9 years with the museum she took a break and taught Middle School science for a year in the small rural town of Prineville, Oregon to experience the structured side of science education. But back to the museum she went to have more fun! Planning, scheduling, marketing, teaching and writing curriculum...Tammie took science to the road once again to schools and fairs. Helping to build one of the most successful Outreach Departments in the nation. With this experience she now brings you her own Fun with Physics hands-on family entertainment. .
Fun with Physics is a family adventure. Tammie's husband, Sean, designed and built the display structure. Tammie researched the activities. The kids - age 16 and age 6, tested the activities for durability, accurateness and "fun factor". Thanks to many hours from friends and family as sounding boards, babysitters, and much more! Fun with Physics was born.
